Data Integrity Must Come First
Ascertain® addresses the urgent need of communications service providers to identify, analyze and correct data integrity problems, as they grow market share through the sale of high speed data, voice, wireless and inter-carrier services.
Through the use of the Ascertain® Inter-System Reconciliation (ISR) module, operators can analyze and maintain data integrity across different systems by ensuring that data is fully synchronized between the network elements, back office data and third-party partner data. Mismatched data is then validated and business processes established to deliver assisted and automated correction of data.
Data integrity audits are delivered in two stages: in the first, the tactical system analyzes data from all systems and reports on the findings; in the second, data is delivered into the ISR environment for analysis and reporting, as illustrated in this diagram…

TMNG’s success in data integrity audits and data cleansing projects is a result of our many years experience in overseeing OSS migration projects; our depth of expertise in cable operations; our proprietary methodologies, refined over many years; and a flexible, scalable software solution custom-designed for data migration applications.
Data Cleansing and Migration
The enormity of data migration from one or more systems to a new one, cannot be under-estimated and is a major challenge to Information Technology (IT) Departments. TMNG’s track record of success in data cleansing and migration projects is unmatched in the industry.
Using Ascertain® Inter-System Reconciliation (ISR), TMNG experts audit existing billing system account information and services against the corresponding business and data rules; thereby ensuring that data will process without error.
When data file structures, business rules and mandatory account and service information are extracted and transformed, Ascertain® ISR compares the existing billing system data against the new system requirements, identifying those records that will fail the migration test. Any identified errors found during migration processing are cleansed and reformatted prior to data migration.
An example of how data is captured, cleansed and continually audited is illustrated below.
