US mobile operator Sprint Nextel has implemented management consulting and software provider TMNG Global's SmartXchange service, a mobile device recapture service for the communications industry. SmartXchange is a service that allows mobile providers to target specific devices and customers in order to collect and reuse of handsets and other electronic devices. The SmartXchange service provides mobile operators with the tools they need to reach out to customers who have used or unwanted handsets that have value to their business operations, either for refurbishing or resale. SmartXchange powered by TMNG Global's Ascertain software suite enables operators to coordinate with incentive partners, interface with recyclers and track activities through customised dashboards and reporting.
