TMNG Global Relocates Broadband Provider’s Data Center to the East Coast

Challenge

A nationwide broadband network provider was preparing to change its name and move its headquarters from the west coast to the east coast. As part of the transition plan, the client’s data center would relocate from its current location to the new headquarters, but the IT support staff would not be.

TMNG Global Solution

Working with the client’s existing staff on the west coast, TMNG Global completed a knowledge transfer of the existing network configurations, including all routers, switches, WAN connections, Internet connections, remote dial-up access, and firewall configurations.

We then worked with the IT support staff at the company’s new headquarters to design, select, install and operate of the data center. Our team redesigned and migrated the existing WAN so that all remote facilities would have network access to the new data center network and systems.

Due to the loss of the west coast staff, TMNG Global engineers continued to assist the client by providing day-to-day network operations support. We also implemented Concord eHealth to provide a centralized NMS.

Benefits to the Client

Due to TMNG Global’s engineering experience in network design, migration strategies, and operations, the project was completed within a shorter timeframe than expected. The client realized improved network availability and performance through faster problem resolution using the detailed real-time trouble and management reporting.
